I've finally officially added FoxGirlJade's PlasmaDRAGON assault rifle. Kindly converted by Dracus, it's now for download in 3DS and C4D format. Here's a shot:

Thanks to FoxGirlJade and Dracus for the release!

I fixed another error that popped up out of nowhere. The posted comments weren't saved properly in the public gallery. This has now been fixed. There was one post by Christoria, which has to be posted again I'm afraid.

Greg Pifer (thanks!) pointed out that the public gallery wasn't the only part of the site that had suddenly developed errors. The download section wasn't working correctly, meshes over approximately 2MB weren't downloading correctly. This has now been fixed.
I think all the problems lately have been due to a server upgrade or something. Although the version of the software running this site (PHP) is still thesame, some server settings were changed (probably to increase security) which is why these problems are cropping up. If anyone finds anything else, please let me know ASAP!
So thanks to FoxGirlJade and Greg for pointing out these problems. As far as I know the site is now back on track.

The public gallery has been fixed. It's weird; I found the error pretty much straightaway. What's puzzling is that the gallery worked before, while it shouldn't have! I really don't know why the problem only popped up recently. Anyway, it's fixed now.

It's been a long time! There's several reasons, most important of all is that the company I worked for went bankrupt at the end of January, and I've been busy trying to find a new job in a world where airlines aren't doing too well. I'm sure I'll manage, though!
In the meanwhile, Jade Taggart (FoxGirlJade) released two C4D meshes to me that I've been trying to convert. They are the PlasmaDRAGON assault rifle (you know it from the public gallery!) and the ITF commbadge.I haven't managed to get the conversions right, so these meshes have now been released in the forums in C4D only (as a pinned topic), so go check them out! And if you manage to convert them to some other format, please let me know!
Special thanks to FoxGirlJade for her patience regarding this release!

Two items for today:
For the programmers amongst us, I received an email about an interesting competition:
"The project is a real time 3d rendering competition called The Imagine Cup. Competitors are challenged to tell a story in 3d. Students can collaborate with up to 3 teammates to create the best real time rendering coded in DirectX9 and Visual Studio .NET. Everyone who registers to compete gets a free copy of Microsoft Visual Studio .NET. The grand prize for the competition is $8000, and the winners will be flown to the awards ceremony in Yokohama Japan.
We’ve created a micro site with detailed info on the competition, including a trailer and a link to register. You can check it out at: This site."
And of course for the renderers amongst us: I've added Kenny_Z's Ambassador class ship (MAX) to the STMC today. Here's a shot:

I've added the DY-100 Refit by Andrew J. Hodges today. This is an upgraded version of the Botany Bay:
I've put this under the non-canon section, as I don't think this ship has featured in the series or movies. It's available in 3DS and MAX.

I've added a mesh (3DS and MAX) by Kenny_Z today, it's his Species 8472 Bioship. There's two of those already on this site, but all have a different look to them. Just personally, I like this one best:

And today a new mesh by Steve Davis. This time it's the non-canon U.S.S. Magellan:
The mesh is currently only available in MAX format. Enjoy this nice, original design!

I've added the DY-100 S.S. Botany Bay by Andrew J. Hodges. I've listed it under 'Canon Federation' as it's a semi-official Trek Ship. Andrew did quite a good job of this ship especially since there's little reference material. Its available as 3DS and MAX:
