Today I added the second of S-Stephens add-ons for Sarod's Intrepid class mesh. This time it's listed as a seperate download since you can also use it without the mesh. However, if you use the two together they fit (as designed) and you can do animations like this one (3.3 MB).

A single shot to preview the bay here:

Thanks to S-Stephen for this release. It's available under "non-ship meshes" in 3DS and MAX formats.

Added today a long-overdue extension to Sarod's Voyager: S-Stephen created landing gear legs for it. Not static ones; these are pre-animated for you to show the doors opening, legs extending and unfolding and moving into place. It's actually quite a simple looking add-on, but very effective. A low-quality movie shows it in action. Available in MAX and 3DS. It's now available on the download page with Sarod's mesh. Thanks to S-Stephen!

Quiet addition today: I found the original LWO archive of Dominic's Dauntless. It's been added to the download section so Lightwave users can now enjoy this model!

After a long time, I today added a mesh by Bucky Argyle, it's the original TOS Enterprise. There was one already on the site, but this one (in MAX format) is much better than the one before. Have a look yourself:

Available under Canon ships. Enjoy and thanks to Bucky!

The popups should be history now, as I have removed the script that caused them.

As a backup, I've installed Google Analytics. It's very new so if any of you have any complaints please let me know!

Nedstat, the service provider which has since 1998 provided my statistical information has recently been taken over. Without informing users, they have started to add popups to the counter code.

As I will *not* have any popups on my site, please inform me (preferably through the forums) if you start seeing some. I will then remove the statistics service.

Just a quick update of whats going on:

At the moment I'm still living in a temporary place, looking for a permanent apartment. I've got my eye on one, available at the end of the month, however that's when I'll be going back home for the first time since I got to Sri Lanka. Halfway september I'll be back, and if I'm in my own place, I'll get ADSL installed. That should get things moving!

This is my last day in Singapore before I go back to Sri Lanka and so I thought I'd quickly upload a mesh by Casey Sullivan, which he sent to me some time ago. It's the U.S.S. Anarchist, a nice little ship with some movable parts (shuttlebay door, platform, launcher) to go with it. Available in LWO only:

I know for a fact now that Sri Lanka has broadband fast enough to allow me to maintain the site. All I need now is a house to order a line :).

Well, here's a short update :).

I am currently in Singapore for simulator training which is always a part of changing employers as a pilot. Good thing about Singapore is the fast internet that's available here and there's been two people who just happened to submit meshes whilst I was here. Though I have no 3D studio here, I decided to upload them now that I have the chance.

They are the Doomsday Machine by Troy (image also in the public gallery) and a 3DS conversion of the NCC3803 by Enzo.

Enjoy!

Some of you may have wondered what suddenly slowed the expansion of this site. Well, early this year my employer DutchBird went bankrupt, and so I was out looking for a job. Obviously the site had moved back in priority, with most work maintenance only.

Now I have found a new job, with Sri Lankan Airlines. As it's name suggests, this means I'm moving to Sri Lanka! It's all gone very quickly and I'm now leaving this friday (27th of May). I will of course try to get a decent internet connection as soon as possible in Sri Lanka, but I don't know what possibilities there are, and so I cannot promise anything about the site. First and foremost it will remain on-line and functional. If I can't find the time to add meshes I will try to find someone who can do it for me. Anyway, I'll do everything I can to make sure the site won't die out. I can easily update this news from any internet cafe, so I'll definitely keep you all posted!

Thanks to everybody that's made the site what it is now, I hope that in the slow weeks that follow you will all keep it alive with the forums and public gallery!
