A new mesh today! This one is by Skye "021310061976" Dodds, and some of you will know of it's earlier versions. It's the Defiant, but Skye's version V1.4 in MAX only at the moment, which at time of writing is available no-where else. Here's Skye's own words about what has changed:

'I've completely redone all of the textures, materials, and lighting, as well as corrected a couple of mesh and smoothing errors that I discovered after the initial release.'

As you can see below, this mesh is amazingly accurate. The thumbnail is actually too brightly lit, to see all the detail. But try studio-lighting and you'll get studio results!

I've added a non-canon design today, by Steven Davis. Many will already know this mesh but I couldn't live without hosting it here, too :).



It's the Excalibur class, available in MAX format only for now. This is some fantastic work by Steven, go and enjoy it!

Another mesh by Steven Davis added! This time, it's Starbase 201. This is a huge station with fully modelled interior! The mesh is available in MAX and 3DS formats. Here's an image of the exterior, and one of the interior:

I've added a mesh by Ger Dolan & Magma today, it's the Dominion Battleship. More accurate in shape than William's battleship, and with nicer textures, this baby is available in MAX and 3DS formats. Here's a preview:

You've seen the images in the public gallery -- now it's hosted here. David Byrne released his Borg cube to the STMC, and it's now hosted here. Only problem is that it's a MAX 7 file, and it will not open in older MAX versions. If anyone can export this to older versions, please let me know.

I've added a ranking system today. Not nearly all meshes are ranked, but I'll fix that soon. I decided to implement this now, as I've recently seen all meshes again to render the thumbnails. You can read about the ranking system in the FAQ section. I know this is totally subjective, but it'll give you some indication of the quality of each mesh.
