That's it! I finally got everything on-line again! Since I now have limited FTP space, I've been forced to stop mirroring meshes.
The meshes that I know are on reliable mirrors, are now marked with an asterik (*), and those links
point to the pages the mesh is on. It's not as smooth as it was, but it's all I can do for now. There may be some changes
soon. The system works as follows: Every mesh has a primary format. This file includes all the textures. The under
the other formats header are the conversions, but those DO NOT include the textures! I'm sorry for people that have to
download longer this way, but it was the only way to get everything up.
Because of all this shuffling with FTPs, there may be some errors in the links. And worse, there may be some files under the
other formats header that do contain the textures. Therefore; always first download the format you want, and then, if you
miss textures, download the primary format. Then contact me to tell me there were textures under the other formats header.
Thank you in advance.
And there will be a surprise very soon (yes, it's a new mesh), but since it's my birthday today, I don't have any
more time to get it on-line. But soon..... Just have patience :-)
I would like to thank everyone that tried to help me, but especially Carlos Cardoso and Simon Jenny. Carlos
is the one you all have to thank for the STMC to be back. He offered me free ftp space, and it saved us all :-). Thank you very
much, Carlos.

Things are taking a little while longer than I anticipated.
I'll keep you posted.

Carlos Cardoso has kindly offered me FTP space. I'm working
hard to get everything sorted out. Please hang on a little while
more, and enlist to my mailing list (see meshes download page) to
be informed when the site is back again.

I'm sorting out my FTP directories. I have thought of some
good ways to make it smaller in size. But this will require a
major site update, so please be patient. I will get it on-line in
about 2 days, maybe sooner.
IMPORTANT: If you want a mesh that has no
link with it, please mail me. I will give you a temporary FTP
adress where you can get it.

I have removed all download links from the download page. The
meshes that I know are somewhere else for download now have a
link to those pages. Now it's time to find space for the rest of
the meshes.

I'm removing mirrored meshes from my site and replacing them
with links to the respective download sites. The meshes that
aren't available anywhere I'll try to post somewhere else.

I have been forced to
take down my FTP server because I was generating too much traffic
for the host. If anyone can provide me with free webspace (I need
about 150mb and expect up to 250mb traffic per day), please
inform me. Untill then, all mesh download links are dead. There
is nothing I can do about that :-(.

I have added three new meshes, where two are completely new:
First: The Klingon Bird of Prey by Maypayn. This is a high
detail model of the Klingon Bird of Prey that many people have
been asking for. Very much thanks to Maypayn for making it
available to my page.
Second: The U.S.S. Leavenworth (Leavenworth class). This model
was made by Rob Willson. He used parts of the Eric Peterson
Excelsior mesh to construct this one. It looks very good,
definitely worth downloading if you're into post-TOS rendering.
Last, but not least: Another version of the U.S.S.
Enterprise-D. This version will exist besides the 1701-D already
posted here. The new mesh was by Ralph Schoberth & Trevor
Morris, and it's greatest feature is that it's seperatable. I
converted this mesh from Lightwave to 3D Studio. Because this
mesh is also much smaller in size than the other 1701-D, this one
is also recommended for people with low bandwidth or low memory
problems.
I thank these people very much for creating these meshes and
publishing them.
I also updated the mesh download page to include a file size
with every download link, and I updated some of these sizes
because new revisions were bigger. The non-seperable 1701-D, for
example, has increased in size from 8,6mb to 10mb. That's quite
alot for some of you :-)

I added the new revision of the Galor Class starship, and
moved it to the 'detailed' section. I also added the Negh'Var
Klingon flagship and a Dominion Battlecruiser, all three models
by William Burningham. William, however, did not add the
textures. If anyone could do good textures for especially the
Klingon Battlecruiser and the Dominion Battlecruiser, I'd be
grateful.

The site update has been completed. If you experience any
problems, please click the reload button. If the problems
persist, please contact
me, because it might still be possible that some link is
dead.
I have updated the following:
- Frame borders:
The frame borders under netscape are now black.
I haven't found a way to get rid of them completely, but
with the black lines, the LCARS system looks nice, so
that's not really a problem. I would like to thank Tom
Varvaresos and David Statler for responding to my help
request a month ago and doing their best to help me. - Browser compatibility
I've had some complaints about the spaces in some of my
URL's, because some browsers don't handle them right.
That's been redone, all spaces have been replaced with
underscores. This might cause some dead links (although I
think I've checked everything, but you never know), but
please contact
me if you find one. - FTP- and HTTP relocation
Although these names refer to this page (so this
URL stays valid), my site has a new domain name:
http://startrek3d.home.ml.org size="4">, which is easier to
remember than the old URL.
I now also have a new FTP site, for uploading your meshes
to:
ftp://startrek3d.ml.org size="4">, if you login
anonymously, you can upload to the incoming directory,
and create subdirs there. You can't, however, delete
files. Some people can't reach it through this URL, I
encourage you to try href="ftp://194.134.137.38">ftp://194.134.137.38 size="3">, which is thesame FTP.
