I'm still alive! I know things must seem dead, but as some of you may have seen, I'm around at the forum, and I'm still around here. I'm working on things, slowly.
But first I fixed something, the Bird of Prey by William Burningham was password protected. I've uploaded a non-protected file now, and for those of you who still have the protected file: The password is: gowron13. All lowercase.
The U.S.S. Voyager by William Burningham is also protected, but he can't remember the password, so he's digging up the files to repack a non-protected version. It should be up soon.
Very slowly and systematically I'm working on the mesh database, once it's finished it should be easier for me to both add meshes and to change the look of the site. I'm working on it! :).

Ok, it hasn't gone as promised -- again. I guarantee you that I'm still here and alive, and also slowly working on the site. However, work is mayhem, and it's nearly chrismas (and St Nicolaas here in the Netherlands) so social life is mayhem too :). I'm working as hard as I can.
Also I received this -- about Filmcon. Check it out if you can!
FilmCon.
This year we are honored to have an “Emmy” award winning CG artist as the guest of honor. Lee Stringer will be on hand to show his work from many of the shows he has worked on, including the newest from “BattleStar Galactica” and also “firefly” and “Voyager”. We are doing this so people who love to animate have a real chance to meet and learn from a professional. Filmcon is a very small convention that stresses independent film making and production. Other guests have included...Iain McCaig, designer for Star Wars Episodes 1-3, Eric Chauvin, Matte painter for Babylon 5 and Star Trek, Paul Topolos- Pixar studios.

You're never going to believe this -- The modem arrived today. And the line works. I'm doing this through my ADSL connection right now! Work on the site will now slowly continue, except I'm going on holiday next week and my birthday party is this weekend, so it'll be a little slow to start :). But I'll get on it! :)

Aye! 't Is news again!
The modem has arrived today! Though we got an email this week saying it was going to be another 3 weeks... But there's a letter with the modem, that says it should work straightaway. I'll connect things up tomorrow, and post news here if it does work! If it doesn't, then I hope it won't be too long untill the line is activated.

Still no no news on the ADSL front. We only received the confirmation, but no hint on when it's going to be here. I've heard people say that sometimes the modem arrives at your home out of the blue, and the line works. Let's hope that happens here soon.
Another thing I've been getting emails about -- The passwords on William Burninghams meshes (LWO versions only). I've been in contact with him, and I'll soon post the passwords here (I should have them early next week). Thanks for your emails and patience!

I spoke too soon. The standard delivery time for ADSL (here) is 6 weeks. It's been two weeks now, so it's still going to be 4 internet-less weeks for me :(. Which also means that work on the site is at a standstill until the line has been connected. Sorry for the delay!

Ok, ADSL has been ordered. It should only be about a week now before I can continue work on the site!

Allright, an update:
As stated before, I moved employers, to move back to the Netherlands. For the past three months I've been looking for a house, and in between I had the time to work on the site. I understand it may look like the work has stopped, but it hasn't! The problem for now is, that I've found somewhere to live, and I'm moving this weekend. The phoneline is still being installed, and I don't know how long it'll be to have ADSL installed. Until that's done, I won't be able to work on the site, since that requires work on the php database, which is on-line work. And I can't afford to do that over a phoneline. Since I've yet to register the phoneline, I can't give any indication of how it'll be until the ADSL line is ready. I'll keep posting news on it here, as it develops.
Thanks for your patience! Having my own place with own connection will greatly help me work on the site.

It's been a bit longer than I thought, I've been away on holidays and working the last couple of weeks. But work on moving the meshes to the database is progressing!
For those that still can't get to the meshes, when the main site appears in this window, use the 'site inside the site' to navigate to the meshes. You should definitely be able to get to the download section that way. When the database is complete the whole referrer detection won't be required anyway!

The news is now imported from a mySQL database! You can see it's limited to 15 newsitems per page, and you can easily browse through the previous news, all the way to September 1998, when this page started up!
If you find any errors, please let me know. Also, if you think 15 items is too much or too little, let me know as well. If many people want a different number (yeah, like you all care :), I'll change it!
The next item on the list is the mesh download list. The PHP scripting is already complete, I just need it to output everything with the correct layout. Also, I'll need to rename alot of files, so the site will be off-line for an hour or so while I do it. Probably won't be today, though.
