MODEL THEFT ALERT!

I wish I could say this was an April Fools Joke, but this is very serious.

A few weeks ago, I saw a couple of my friends' models from the Bridge Commander Central Community being sold for profit with no consent from the original artists. Now I'm seeing the same thing here, with other models built for rendering and production.

This guy appears to be selling models from websites like Sci Fi Meshes and TrekMeshes. I was able to point out Ed Giddings' USS Prometheus, MedJai's USS Diligent, and TAN.J's Battlestar Pleiades among the models stolen by this guy. I think there are other models made by the folks of SFM as well as here being sold here as well, but I don't remember who built them all.

I've posted to Sci Fi Meshes as well, in the hopes of reaching out to those who made these models and making them aware of whats going on. In the meantime, I would advise browsing through this guy's pile and seeing if any of you recognize any of the models stolen.

The matter was resolved in a few steps.

Tuesday, April, 01.
Following the instructions kindly provided by Shapeways site, I signed up on the website and sent an PM to the user named Rupi100.

Thursday, April 03.
Rupi100 replied to private message and the Nova Class mesh was removed from the list of offers.

This case is closed.
