Fem Trekz's U.S.S. EARHART
Re: Fem Trekz's U.S.S. EARHART
It is amazing. Raul is an awesome 3D modeler, and very generous to donate his time on my project for the 2nd year in a row with so many others competing for his help.

Re: Fem Trekz's U.S.S. EARHART
I think, I will not stand one more round.
I imagined that this time, finally, everything was fine, but behold,
one more time, after more than half way, everything is inappropriate.
I know that you have a very specific vision,
including dynamics and technical terms.
But I'm a dreamer, I believe that a box called Galileo can leave a spaceship
and fly through the atmosphere of a planet, regardless of aerodynamic.
Star Trek is a fiction. Their standard of futuristic concept and design
was never the best, but won the hearts of many.
The secret? The stories, the plots and the realism of human dramas
applied to the concept of the series, gave to the show apparatuses
the plausibility that continues today.
Cell phones, Ipods, journey to new planets, overcoming our limitations.
A technology that is the result of imagination and daydreaming,
which in my language, I call "Hope".
Star Trek showed hope for humanity, his nonexistent technology has brought
inspiration.
The reality never imposed limits on Star Trek fiction, but
Star Trek imposed the realization of fictional ideas.
What I see in this work is the opposite of all that is Star Trek.
We are limiting the possibilities of design, the technological appearance
ended in the last plan.
I, as an artist and a Star Trek lover, I apply in my work the desire of a large community.
It is a community that knows and respects the past, lives fully the present, and gives freedom for the future.
and freedom is something that is being stuck here.
Naturally, I tried to draw for Fem Trekz, a modern language, innovation and, of course, some plausibility.
But here there is no place for a more sci-fi approach.
The starting point of this model is an artistic conception. A design that has never been done.
The waverider is coupled to a ship, a ship that exists thanks to artistic freedom.
This spontaneity, the waverider is "forbidden" to display.
sorry, "forbidden" is a very strong expression, read "limited".
Limits on Star Trek are clear, the design can not overshadow the plot of the episode,
but it can give richness to the visual universe of our heroes.
And this visual richness was my offering to Fem Trekz girls.
The minimum intervention added by me were systematically invalidated.
Because there is no space for "Star Trek" breathe in this project.
A modern and attractive waverider was one of the key pieces
to the disclosure of this animated series.
A beautiful ship, with technologically sexy appearance, would spread the birth of a new universe,
created by a serious fan, a professional animator.
The simple downloads, alone, would disclose the Fem Trekz.
Of simple meshes, the internet is full.
Of ships that are more like parodies and/or exhibitions of the glaring modeling capability of
this or that artist, the internet is also full.
Well, I've said too much.
Dear friend Glenn and friends of the trekmeshes, I sincerely apologize,
I do not see more personal competence in me to continue on in this project.
I wish you, Glenn, all the luck in the world!
I hope you find an aerospace engineer.
I'm just a dreamer.
I believe that it's time for my retirement.
I have to know when to stop.
If I insist more, all this will get more ugly!
Thank you all.
(Sorry for this extremely strange English.
It is what I can do.)

Ans it goes quiet....
I can very much see your point Raul, and I have personally very much enjoyed watching your skills and imagination become part of this ship design.
But at the very least, a reaction to your post would be appropriate.
For what it's worth, I thought you were working towards a really great original design!

Re: Fem Trekz's U.S.S. EARHART
To me, the detail is amazing and very appealing
.
Re: Fem Trekz's U.S.S. EARHART
So did I. I couldn't help but show each WIP to friends and family, I was so impressed. My dad sells cars for a living and he's always been interested in industrial design. He was really liking the car-like elements. I even had his earlier WIP as my desktop background right when he decided to quit, or um, at least, quit building it with my input...Erik_Timmermans wrote: I thought you were working towards a really great original design!

This is amazing detail, even compared to your usual already great work!
Looks like you're just building a prototype in your garage! (Are you?)

I feel like a woodworker of Paramount studios.
Creating basic structures of plywood.
Refining the shapes and contours to give some personality to the 'movie set'...

Wow, this ship is exceptional, I love the almost Argo feel to it and the in-depth work you have put into details and interior. I can't wait to see what else you come up with

Hi, iPAN1C14
Welcome to trekmeshes.
This space is a quiet place, very peaceful and unpretentious.
This site is like that little store, before the corner.
The door makes company to a showcase full of things about the Star Trek universe.
Upon entering, you notice old wooden shelves. Nothing too sophisticated or futuristic.
Well, on the shelf, ships and objects that one day dream to have on hand.
Memories and moments of our youth - why not even our childhood - start to jump and run inside us.
By entering over the back of the store, here's what we see:
Some tables and chairs where smiling people talk quietly, talking about the schematics of the ships and other various subjects.
When you finish going through the tables, there is a window with dusty glass.
Yes, it is a workshop! Please open the door and enter!
In this workshop we teach and learn.
Sometimes there seems to be fighting (like a bar), but there is no enmities or sorrow.
We are sincere, because we are friends, sometimes brothers.
There, sitting in front of another work bench, chewing gum and reading a magazine, is Glenn. He asked me to model this ship.
But I gave him an "excuse me!" hehehehe.
He's still here because his soul has a lot of patience.
Hey, Glenn! Say "Hello" to our iPAN1C14 here!
-Hi, iPAN1C14! 8)
And sitting in front the same workbench, is the shop owner, Erik
.
Well, feel free. Just pull up a chair and relax.

Hi, Chainsaw!
We can fly! But missing the landing gear, thrusters and numerical indentation.
The toilet is not working and the bed is still a distorted cube.
Still missing the most important part of any spacecraft:
The Food Replicator is not properly installed ...
The sonic shower is operational.
Stay tuned for updates ...

Raul, your words about the site have made the work and time that go into keeping it up-and-running all worthwhile in one poetic post.
Many thanks, I will endevour to keep the shop open and keep inviting all our friends in. Everyone needs that old shop on the corner
