But I really dont think he should listen to you. You might cause he to ruin it
is a joke too... i gues??

soft shadows RARELY make a scene ruined :wink:

wow i feel honored that my work is
inspiring debates.

i actually don't like the amount of shadows that are being created,
and i'm going to be looking into fixing that
currently everything is bing lit by area lamps
and what i'm calling a shadow lamp
where there are six sun lamps lighting every thing from every angle,
set up like a cube so that you have shadows and not blackness

and the area lamps
are part of the problem

the rumors surrounding my dissappearance
have been greatly over exaggerated

so after a month off, i have returned and i have some updates for my mesh
i've gotten a new video card, the 8600 gt with the zakman heat sink that has allowed me to become more effiecient with my work

last week i worked on the lighting of the room
so tell me how that is looking

so this weekend i decided to texturize my mesh starting with the lcars,
now it was suggested that i go with early tng era lcars, which i am trying to do

i got the lcars from lcars-interface.de and from okudagrams.org forum
both are great resourses

i am also going to start work on my first starship prodject too
and if you noticed a trend in my past wips then you would realize that my new ship is going to be:
an ambassador class starship
but that will be in a new wips thread

next steps:
make the carpet look more like carpet
and make the metal floor look more like a metal floor

shortly after rendering the images i noticed an error
some of the consoles had the texture on both of the materials
so i fixed it

Hey, Andyp a re you still around? Also, hows the progress been with your interiors. And are you intending to release them? (From a person still using blender and is bored with whats available for it)
