I have a obj mesh of non-canon castella class ship and I attached an images to this post.

Castella class....I have downloaded this mesh in every version. They all have a weird ".RAR" file extension that is in al capital letters.
They do not unpack or extract. They all say file has been damaged.

SUPER model youve created....................
in the available download, there seems to be only 1 CLICK-ABLE Texture-Material
for the entire craft......... do you also have another version,
with multiple COLOR-SECTIONS ,like in your renders ?

Actually there's no texture, you can see additional mesh on the hull mesh and on my renders I apply other materials for this mesh. and that is why on my renders it looks like other materials with angles =)
Also I can share original .blend file with configured materials if you want, also I shared link for my last Excelsior class with normal textures, you can go and check it =)

ill try and find the other one .
I understand that some models have ZERO textures,
but they usually allow you to CLICK ,parts of the model
and then ADD custom textures.
Thats the usual procedure.

Oh, I'm sorry about this kind of problems with my models.
I'm for now only doing models stuff, not texturing and other stuff. But still now I'm understand better how to do UV unwrapping and texture using for Blender. And I hope I will do this stuff better with my next model. (screen from Excelsior (Charity) model)
Also thank you for using Castella design.

Thanx for the BLEND-file offer
but my render system cant use them, ...........it only allows : | dae | obj | fbx |
that can be customized and animated.
you have a great talent in creating 3d meshes
as your renders show........well done .
the EXPORTING of files, from blender, might include a way of allowing
| Multiple sections | for customization, with dae, or obj , files.

I add fbx version to the Excelsior, but materials are still kinda broken, as far as I can see... Can you check it later?

Hi again
Are you able to IMPORT sketchup models , or any 3d models, into Blender ?
If so , are you then able to click INDIVIDUAL sections of that model ?
In the video below, the model has Individual sections,
its not all ONE Texture color,
so later when the model is exported , for use by other Artists,
they can then CLICK on any SECTION,of your model, and then customize it,
with any texture, ..........like ,FUR on the top, and METAL on the sides.
before its then animated and rendered.,
does Blender allow for that concept ?..............if it does
then your models can be rendered in multiple ways.

Yes, Blender allows this concept.And this is kinda great feature.
And yes It can be used like that in case of 2020 version of Excelsior.
