This is the second version, same base mesh, but with a different, and I think more Klingon look to it

and a couple more different views of version 2, hope you like them, any thoughts of things that could be altered to improve these would be greatly appreciated

The second, 'Klingon' layout also matches the style of ships seen since ST:FC. I like the classic-yet-modern look of it.

Thank you Erik, just a bit of detailing to do on both and I'll call them finished, I'm also doing a Klingon ship, I'll probably call it a D5, since there's a D4, D6 & D7 already, that I'll post some images of when I've done a bit more to it.

Nice work, well done staying in the design concept of the Dx ships. D5 seems to fit the bill

Here's a couple of short anims showing the finished ships, with a few rubbish effects thrown in for good measure, I'd also like to know what you guys think of the asteroid field, it's instances of only two different models created in ZBrush, not certain if I got the look right.

I'll get these zipped up and put some links up so you can grab them if you want

It does look like it will be awhile, since I'm on holiday travelling through Australia with the familily, with no real ability to do any site management. Hopefully you can have the patience .
