Hi all,

As earlier this year, there may be some issues coming up with the STMC hosting provider. This could lead to the site going offline next week (the 20th of November). It is NOT the fault of Genotec, but rather a miscommunication about the origins of the STMC.

I will endevour to keep it online, and have backups in case something does go wrong. Rest assured that I will try to keep the site going if it will not be too much expense.

If the site goes offline and I bring it back later, I will use the registered email database for the forums to mail new details. However, my intention is to try and keep the Trekmeshes site service uninterrupted.

A request to you all -- if the site goes down and you read queries about it in other forums, please inform people of the status and the intention to stay online.

I knew one day this would happen .
The Genotech was assimilated by Green.ch.
The problem is with the Green staff?

Well, I have to say the Green staff is very friendly and helpful. They have allowed the site to continue to run even though technically they should have shut it down months ago.
Green has decided not to continue sponsored sites, which obviously is their right. I'm currently looking at what package I'd need to fund it myself. Let's see what happens.

I have a desperate alternative :
Create a blog and put everything there.

That would be very desparate .
The site generates too much traffic for a fair use policy on any (blogging) host.

However, I have agreed with Genotec/Green to take ownership of the site and pay for hosting. I may set up a donation possibility later, to cover cost only (I would not accept more donations than cost). If I do, it will never be either in the way or required to use the site. In other words, the doors will always be open to anyone.

While this is being arranged, Green will keep the site online. So there is now no expected interruption of service thanks to their kind help!

It has been arranged... The STMC is now fully under my ownership. It has advantages, to be sure!
Anyway, the site will remain online now!

Nice going Erik. We all know you have as much love for this site as we do. Let us know if donations are possible.
