Long Time No See......

Hey guys, old and new
Not visited here in a long long while, thought I'd post some pictures, looks like the last pictures I posted were 5 years ago of a lighting rig of the USS Voyager :O or something I posted in 2009, dunno either way, its been way toooo long.
Apologies if I've posted any of the stuff I post here before, to be honest, the links for those are probably dead by now
For those that don't know my style or don't remember it, I am a Cinema4D user, had a mate try and change me to an Autodesk Maya user with limited success, still in love with Cinema4D, either way it throws up issues for me when I download meshes off the net. Main one being textures. So I download stuff, usually the OBJ conversions, tidy the mesh and then retexture in my own style.
I love the dark metals on light metals as you will notice in my collection. I also model a lot of stuff from scratch these days, except starships still. I am currently working on the OBJ conversion done by Andy Marrs of the Enterprise B by Eric Peterson, will post pictures when I am done, currently going through the tedious process of cleaning up the mesh as OBJ exports and then imports into C4D can cause geometry issues with the main issue being overlapping polygons that don't need to be there.
When I texture and setup a scene, I strive for the look and feel of TNG, DS9 and Voyager era VFX where I try and get the CGI looking like a physical studio model as I feel this is a more realistic look. I admit I don't always achieve this but I am getting there
Anyways, rather then post it all in 1 post, will post several in this one thread, enjoy
Steve
