More than ten years ago, when the dinossaurs walking on Earth, there was a group named Wolfpack. They were the first ones to make scifi meshes available, and who inspired me in my 3d adventures. :D In 1998 Eric Peterson built, between other meshes, the Apollo Class. It isn´t a public release, but I always loved that ship. So, I trying to build my own version. Take a look and tell me what do you think about her. :)

Dammit!! How can the first image to be resized?? :oops:
30/05 - Now I know the answer. :) Just use ?w=480&h=405 at the end of the url. Change the values by one that fits the forum borders. ;)

The model looks very promising.
I noticed that it is in advanced stage of modeling.
How long you been in dry dock building this ship?

And remember that "USS" has always abbreviation dots: U.S.S. 8)

A modelagem parece muito promissora.
Eu notei que está em avançado estágio de modelagem.
Há quanto tempo está na doca seca construindo esta nave?

Não se esqueça que USS sempre tem pontos de abreviação, U.S.S. 8)

The Wolfpack.... Good 'ol times! They were the inspiration for many of us.

And the way you're going, this will be the next generation! As Raul says, it looks like you're already well on the way. Looks very promising!

Eu acho que não dá pra redimensionar a imagem, meu véio! :mrgreen:
=======================================================
I think there's no way to resize the image, my old! :mrgreen:

Thank you for the kind words my friends!
Answering to Raul: I was playing with her for five weeks before the first post. ;)
In the meantime between the last and this new post, the neck and the plateau were rebuilt and joinned in a unique piece, the thrusters were added and a basic painting schema defined. I´m at work for now, so, here it goes a few renderings. More later. ;)

Yes, just holes. I won´t go to adventure in building "real" engines. It´s madness. :mrgreen:
After sometime, updates.
- The plateau was redone;
- The plateau, the upper structures and sec hull were repositionated;
- the neck won´t have torp launchers anymore;
- the ship is a little longer now, but I believe it makes her better ballanced;

Errr.... :oops: Yes, the last post (close renderings) was an unintentional repetition... :oops: Big mistake when selecting the renderings...
I´ll have to fix that when in home. Excuse me!

03/06/11 - Renderings are now replaced. :mrgreen:

Thank you for the kind words Raul, but Tobias is one of the greatest, and I still need to learn A LOT. And... it will take a looooooooooong time. :lol: :lol: You´re closest to the target when doing art like Tobias. ;)
Already watched STPII - Enemy Starfleet? Special effects were done by Tobias.
And the Ent-C concept (Probert´s original), already saw her? Man, that is to much impressive! If I could have a copy... Just a dream. :)

I saw, I saw his works!
The Enterprise C was also pretty convincing.
The final files should be very heavy, hehehehe...

I think he uses NURBS to work.
We mere mortals, we use simple poly modeling.

But I remembered Tobias, because of the care given to the soft curves of your model.
Everything is beautiful!

Strength and courage for you, Starship! :mrgreen:

After a long hiatus, I´m back to this wip. Therefore, updates will come sllowlly, depending on my free time. ;)
This time, I´m using as a reference an old and low polly mesh found online. At this moment, only the sec hull is the final version. ;)
