As a side note... we will see a different Yorktown in the episode "A Time to Heal" (starring G. Takei and James Shiguetta), being the release planned to this year´s end.

Since that time there were efforts to creating fan films.
I'm impressed!
But the most impressive point is the fact that a Star Trek actor is involved with all this.
Looking at the entire cast of Star Trek, I think, off-screen, the most friendly actor is George Takei.
Thanks for the "side note", Starship.

The lighting is very realistic.
Hey I noticed that the ship is without spotlights. And this increased realism.
Yes, looks like a physical model, made of plastic.
Thanks for sharing, TCB5000!

Thank you for your kind words. I would like to ask your permission to share your model as a .blend file. I love your work and have adjusted some of the textures to colors that I like. I think yours is more realistic according to the film but I wanted to add more blue and gray colors to the textures. Here is the result I came up with. I also adjusted the lighting from my previous post to achieve more of a metallic look to the ship.

This your render of Enterprise has a nostalgic tone.
You brought back from the depths of my mind, the Ilia's theme...

Nick Barone is a 3D artist involved in the STAR TREK ARMADA III mod project.
From a hi-poly model created by me, he created a very nice low-poly version:
If you like Star Trek, and enjoys the universe of games, follow the evolution of this project:
